Aadhaar Card Enrollment: New rules announced for NRIs, OCI-card holders

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced modifications to the Aadhaar (Enrollment and Update) rules introducing separate forms for resident and non-resident Indians. According to the UIDAI, these new guidelines have been made with the aim of making the whole process of updating and enrolling for the Aadhaar Card easier.

Canada witnesses 86 per cent drop in study permits to Indian students

Study permits issued to Indian students has dropped by 86% due to ongoing diplomatic challenges between Canada and India. Diplomatic tensions erupted after Justin Trudeau in June said there was evidence connecting Indian govt agents to murder of Nijjar in British Columbia and India responded by parting expelling Canadian diplomats.

Kochhar, currently President of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, is slated to become the Deputy Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, effective January 27, 2024.

Indian-American girl listed in 'world's brightest students' list by John Hopkins

A 9-year-old Indian-American schoolgirl, Preesha Chakraborty, is on the list of 'world's brightest students' published by Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth. 

Nine year old Preesha Chakraborty adds to this legacy by making it to the list of 'world’s brightest' students prepared by the prestigious Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth. Preesha was figured in the list after the results of above-grade-level tests of over 16,000 students from over 90 countries were assessed, the Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth said.
