The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced modifications to the Aadhaar (Enrollment and Update) rules introducing separate forms for resident and non-resident Indians. According to the UIDAI, these new guidelines have been made with the aim of making the whole process of updating and enrolling for the Aadhaar Card easier.

Study permits issued to Indian students has dropped by 86% due to ongoing diplomatic challenges between Canada and India. A 9-year-old Indian-American schoolgirl, Preesha Chakraborty, is on the list of 'world's brightest students' published by Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth. 

Nine year old Preesha Chakraborty adds to this legacy by making it to the list of 'world’s brightest' students prepared by the prestigious Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth. Preesha was figured in the list after the results of above-grade-level tests of over 16,000 students from over 90 countries were assessed, the Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth said.

Today (Jan 15, 2024) is Martin Luther King Jr. Day (MLK Day) in the United States.  Martin Luther King Jr.  Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed on the third Monday of January each year.
